There is no new platform to manage, no employee accounts or login required, and no training required simply to make Tap 2 Distract available. TLC for Kids also provides ready-to-use digital assets and communication copy, so your team does not need to build the rollout from scratch.

Yes. Tap 2 Distract is available at no cost to individual users, and the Workplace Wellbeing model is designed to make it simple for organisations to share the resource without introducing another paid employee platform or individual licences.

Why is Tap 2 Distract available at no cost?

Tap 2 Distract was created by TLC for Kids to make practical support easier to access when people need it. We want cost to be one less barrier, so it is available at no cost to individual users, with no ads, no in-app purchases and no employee account or login required. If Tap 2 Distract becomes a valued part of your workplace wellbeing approach, your organisation can also choose to support its ongoing reach and impact.

What can someone actually do inside Tap 2 Distract?

Tap 2 Distract includes guided breathing activities such as Box Breathing and Figure 8 Breathing, along with calming, distraction and interactive activities that give people something practical to focus on in the moment.

What if someone is not ready to contact an EAP or talk to their manager?

That is one of the gaps Tap 2 Distract is designed to help with. It gives someone something immediate and practical to use while they decide whether they want to speak with someone, contact an EAP, seek professional support or simply continue with their day.

Do employees need an account or login?

Accepted Answer

No. Employees do not need an account or login to access Tap 2 Distract. They can open it through a link or QR code and begin using the resource in seconds.

Can our organisation see which employees use Tap 2 Distract?

Accepted Answer

No. This is not an employee-monitoring system. We may look at overall reach, but the system is not designed to identify individual employees or determine who has personally used the resource.

Can employees use Tap 2 Distract with their families?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Employees can use the resource themselves or share it with children, parents, grandparents and other people they care about. This means one workplace resource can potentially support people well beyond the workplace itself.

What does our workplace actually need to do?

Accepted Answer

Very little. Register your organisation and TLC for Kids will prepare the Workplace Wellbeing Kit. We then provide a link and QR code so you can add Tap 2 Distract to the places your people already look, such as your EAP page, intranet, induction, staff emails, Teams, Slack, workplace screens or QR posters.

What if our workplace does not have an EAP or formal wellbeing program?

That’s okay. Tap 2 Distract can still be made available as a simple, practical wellbeing resource for your people. It does not require an existing EAP, employee wellbeing platform or formal program to be useful. If your organisation does have other supports in place, Tap 2 Distract can sit alongside them.

Can Tap 2 Distract be used without Wi-Fi or mobile reception?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Once the app has been downloaded, Tap 2 Distract can be used offline, making it ideal for remote workers, FIFO teams, people travelling long distances, or anyone working in areas with limited connectivity. It can also be used during flights or at any other time when Wi-Fi or mobile reception is unavailable.
